San Bernardino County does not use Riverside's release categories. There is no Cite and Release, Book and Release, or Pre-Arraignment Review track here. The Superior Court of California, County of San Bernardino publishes a conventional Felony and Misdemeanor Bail Schedule adopted under Penal Code §1269b(c), effective January 1, 2026. Do not assume the way release works one county over applies here — it does not.

• Most misdemeanors carry no scheduled bail. Section B of the schedule opens by stating that, unless an offense is specifically noted in that section, bail is not required on misdemeanors. This is the single most useful fact on this page. If the charge is an ordinary misdemeanor, there may be nothing to post and nothing to pay us for — we will tell you that on the phone.
• Felonies are calculated per case, not per person. The schedule takes the count with the longest term of incarceration, compares the General Bail Amounts Chart against the Special Bail Amounts and uses the higher figure, then adds enhancements. Three open cases mean three separate bonds.
• The schedule is a guideline, and zero bail is on the table. The court states that all bailable offenses are subject to individualized determination by a magistrate, citing In re Humphrey (2021) 11 Cal.5th 135 and In re Kowalczyk. The schedule expressly notes that judges may set zero bail. Pre- arraignment amounts do not bind the judge at arraignment.
• Penal Code §1270.1 hearings. For the offenses listed there — including PC 243(e)(1), 273.5, 273.6, and 646.9 — no deviation from the schedule, and no own-recognizance release, happens without a hearing in open court.

When a bond is required, the premium is 10% of the bail amount, filed with the California Department of Insurance under Cal. Ins. Code §1800.
