We don't keep an Adelanto branch. The city is worked from our staffed San Bernardino office on Hospitality Lane and directly at High Desert Detention Center inside Adelanto itself, which is where most High Desert holds end up anyway.

Licensed agents on every shift, honest answers about where your family member actually is, and financing built for families who didn't plan on an arrest this week.
High Desert Detention Center is located in Adelanto. It opened in 2006, it is one of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department's principal custody facilities, and on a normal day it holds roughly 700 pre-sentence inmates — people awaiting arraignment or trial, which is exactly the population a bail bond exists for. For most cities in this county the jail question is a guess about where a hold gets transferred. In Adelanto the answer is usually the building down the road. That matters for timing: there is no long drive across a 20,000-square-mile county between booking and release, and our agent is working the same facility whether the arrest happened in Adelanto, Victorville, Hesperia, or Apple Valley. We have not built the dedicated facility page for High Desert Detention Center yet, so we reference it here by name and city only rather than pointing you at a page that does not exist.
A licensed agent answers the phone at 3 a.m. on a Sunday the same way we answer at 3 p.m. on a Wednesday. Adelanto bookings do not wait for business hours, and neither do we.
English and Spanish-speaking agents on every shift. Premium, cosigner obligations, and payment terms get explained in the language your family actually speaks.
Most bonds under $100,000 are written on a qualified signature alone — no property, no pink slip. Above that, collateral may be requested depending on the charge and how the cosigner qualifies.
California fixes the premium at 10% of the bail. The down payment is what flexes — as low as 1% on approved credit, with the balance on a written plan.

An Adelanto arrest is a Sheriff's arrest from the start — there is no municipal stage to wait out — and the custody usually stays inside the city.
San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputies working the Victor Valley Station at 11613 Bartlett Ave, Adelanto, CA 92301 make the arrest. Adelanto contracts its policing to the county rather than running an independent department, so there is no city PD stage and no municipal holding window — this is a county custody from the first minute. Prints, photograph, and record checks all have to clear before any bond can be accepted.
Bail is set from the Superior Court of California, County of San Bernardino Felony and Misdemeanor Bail Schedule adopted under Penal Code §1269b(c). There are no Cite and Release or Book and Release categories in this county — that structure belongs to Riverside. San Bernardino runs a conventional schedule where Section B generally does not require bail on misdemeanors unless the offense is specifically listed.
Call (909) 643-8359 with a full legal name and date of birth. We check the Adelanto city booking and the San Bernardino County system, tell you where they are right now, and read back the exact bail amount and premium before you pay anything.
A short cosigner conversation — employment, residence, and how the balance gets paid. Most approvals take minutes, and most Adelanto bonds require no collateral.
We post at the facility holding the defendant, whether that's the city jail or the county detention centers after transfer. Release from a municipal booking area is usually faster; the county facilities run a processing queue that can take several hours, longer on weekends and holidays.
The remaining premium is paid on the written schedule agreed up front. No surprise fees, and we remind you of every court date so the bond stays in good standing.
Bail amounts for Adelanto arrests come from the San Bernardino County Felony and Misdemeanor Bail Schedule (effective January 1, 2026), the same county-wide schedule used for every other city in San Bernardino County.

The premium is fixed by California law. The down payment is where we can help.
Bail premium rates in California are filed with and approved by the Department of Insurance under Cal. Ins. Code §1800. A bondsman quoting a Adelanto family less than the filed 10% premium as the total cost is quoting something they can't legally deliver.
Once the bond is posted the premium is earned in full — whether the case is dismissed at arraignment or runs two years. That's the price of the surety, not a deposit held against the bail.
Down payments start as low as 1% of the bail on approved credit. The remainder of the 10% premium is financed on a written plan with fixed installments you agree to before signing.
Most Adelanto bonds under $100,000 are written on a qualified cosigner's signature. Larger bonds may call for collateral depending on the charge and the cosigner's file.
| Bail Amount | 10% Premium | Down At 1% |
|---|---|---|
| $20,000 | $2,000 | $200 |
| $50,000 | $5,000 | $500 |
| $100,000 | $10,000 | $1,000 |
The 1% figure is a down payment on approved credit, not a discounted premium — the full 10% is still owed on the payment plan. For the full 1% through 10% tier comparison and who qualifies for each, see affordable bail bonds.
Adelanto is the rare city where the arresting station and the county jail are in the same town. There is usually no transfer to chase.

The contract law enforcement station that polices Adelanto. This is the arresting agency, not a long-term jail — booking and custody move to the county detention side of the operation.
Where Adelanto Arrestees Transfer
Adelanto, CA
Opened in 2006 and located in Adelanto itself, this is the county's principal High Desert custody facility, holding roughly 700 pre-sentence inmates on a typical day. A dedicated facility page is still being built, so we name it by city rather than guess at details we have not confirmed.
630 E Rialto Ave, San Bernardino, CA 92415
The county's downtown San Bernardino intake facility, roughly an hour south down the 15. Uncommon for a High Desert arrest, but classification, medical housing, or an open hold in the valley can route someone down the hill.
Have these ready and we can locate the booking — city jail or county — and quote the premium on the first call.

Bail is set by the San Bernardino County Superior Court schedule, not by the city — so a Adelanto booking starts from the same figures as one anywhere else in the county. The ranges below are county schedule ranges, not city-specific numbers.
County schedule range: $5,000 – $100,000
A first misdemeanor DUI sits at the low end of the schedule and can sometimes release on citation. Priors, injury, or a high BAC push the amount up fast.
View PageCounty schedule range: $50,000 – $100,000
Corporal injury filings book high and usually come with a protective order at arraignment. Release conditions matter as much as the bond — we walk cosigners through both before anything is signed.
View PageCounty schedule range: $10,000 – $100,000+
Simple possession books low and often qualifies for diversion. Possession for sale and transportation book far higher, and weight or priors move the number quickly.
View PagePC §240 / §245(a)(1)
County schedule range: $25,000 – $50,000
Simple battery books at the low end. Assault with a deadly weapon is a strike-eligible felony and books substantially higher, often with additional enhancements filed.
View PagePC §484/§487 and PC §459
County schedule range: $20,000 – $50,000
Petty theft books low; grand theft and first-degree residential burglary book substantially higher and carry felony jail or prison exposure. Burglary has its own dedicated page on this site.
View PageAdelanto is a High Desert city of roughly 38,000 people in the Victor Valley, northwest of Victorville and west of the 15. It incorporated in 1970, it is geographically large and thinly built, and its economy has been shaped more than most California cities by detention and correctional facilities located inside its limits.
There is no Adelanto Police Department. The city contracts law enforcement to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, which polices it out of the Victor Valley Station on Bartlett Avenue. We say that plainly because it changes who you call and what "the police report" even means. It is the same arrangement used by Victorville and Hesperia, and it is the opposite of how cities like Barstow or Redlands run.
The detail that actually changes outcomes here is the jail. High Desert Detention Center sits in Adelanto. When a Victor Valley arrest continues past booking, that is where a large share of the region's pre-sentence population lands — roughly 700 people on an ordinary day. For an Adelanto family, the person is usually held inside their own city. For families in the surrounding Victor Valley cities, Adelanto is the address they end up driving to. Either way it is one facility, close by, rather than a 90-minute run down the Cajon Pass.
Adelanto cases are filed in the San Bernardino County Superior Court system with bail set from the county-wide schedule rather than any city rule. We are not naming a courthouse or department for a specific case on this page — the San Bernardino courthouse research is not finished, and we would rather leave a gap than invent an assignment. What we will confirm on the first call is whether the charge carries scheduled bail under the county bail schedule.
