Yorba Linda
Bail Bonds

Yorba Linda has no municipal police department. The city contracts with the Orange County Sheriff's Department, which runs Yorba Linda Police Services out of 20994 Yorba Linda Boulevard — and it has only done so since January 2013, when the city left a long-running contract with the Brea Police Department. That switch still shapes where records live. 10% premium, 1% down on approved credit.

Midnight Bail Bonds Los Angeles

965 N Vignes St #5, Los Angeles, CA 90012

Open 24 hours, 7 days a week

We don't keep a Yorba Linda storefront. The city is worked from our staffed downtown Los Angeles office, with a licensed agent delivering the bond to whichever Sheriff's facility is actually holding the person — the storefront station on Yorba Linda Boulevard does not do long-term custody.

Why Choose Midnight In Yorba Linda

Licensed agents on every shift, honest answers about where your family member actually is, and financing built for families who didn't plan on an arrest this week.

01

A Sheriff-Contract City — And Before January 2013, A Brea Police Contract City

Yorba Linda does not run its own police department and has not for its entire modern history. Until January 2013 the city contracted law enforcement services from the Brea Police Department, a neighboring municipal agency. In January 2013 Yorba Linda switched that contract to the Orange County Sheriff's Department, which has provided patrol, investigations, traffic enforcement, and crime prevention ever since as Yorba Linda Police Services, headed by a Sheriff's captain serving as Chief of Police Services. The Sheriff lists the station at 20994 Yorba Linda Boulevard, Yorba Linda, CA 92887, (714) 779-7098. Why this matters at 2 a.m.: anything from before 2013 may sit in Brea PD's records, and anything after is a Sheriff's Department record. If you are chasing an older matter and Brea keeps coming up, that is not a mistake — it is the contract history.

02

24/7 Availability

A licensed agent answers the phone at 3 a.m. on a Sunday the same way we answer at 3 p.m. on a Wednesday. Yorba Linda bookings do not wait for business hours, and neither do we.

03

Bilingual Agents

English and Spanish-speaking agents on every shift. Premium, cosigner obligations, and payment terms get explained in the language your family actually speaks.

04

No Collateral In Most Cases

Most bonds under $100,000 are written on a qualified signature alone — no property, no pink slip. Above that, collateral may be requested depending on the charge and how the cosigner qualifies.

05

Affordable Payment Plans

California fixes the premium at 10% of the bail. The down payment is what flexes — as low as 1% on approved credit, with the balance on a written plan.

06

Licensed & Accountable

California License #1846101, with a staffed office at 965 N Vignes St #5, Los Angeles, CA 90012 covering Yorba Linda — a real office with real agents, not a national call center routing your case to a stranger.

How Bail Bonds Work In Yorba Linda

A Yorba Linda arrest is a Sheriff's arrest. Deputies book into the county system directly — there is no city jail and no municipal records desk to work through.

1

Arrest & Booking By Orange County Sheriff's Deputies

Yorba Linda Police Services deputies make the arrest. The Sheriff's station at 20994 Yorba Linda Blvd, Yorba Linda, CA 92887, (714) 779-7098 is a patrol and community-services facility, not long-term housing. Booking runs into the Orange County Sheriff's jail system — most commonly through the Intake Release Center at 550 N Flower Street in Santa Ana. Call before you drive to the station; the person is very likely not there.

2

Charge Checked Against The Orange County Bail Schedule

Bail comes from the 2026 Uniform Bail Schedule of the Superior Court of California, County of Orange, approved by the judges under Penal Code §1269b(c) and effective January 1, 2026. Misdemeanors and infractions are scheduled here, unlike in San Bernardino County, and felony bail is computed per case from the highest single count plus enhancements. Larceny and fraud offenses use the scheduled amount or the loss amount, whichever is higher.

3

Call Midnight — We Confirm Where They Are

Call (213) 295-7796 with a full legal name and date of birth. We check the Yorba Linda city booking and the Orange County system, tell you where they are right now, and read back the exact bail amount and premium before you pay anything.

4

Qualification & Approval

A short cosigner conversation — employment, residence, and how the balance gets paid. Most approvals take minutes, and most Yorba Linda bonds require no collateral.

5

Bond Posted Where They Actually Are

We post at the facility holding the defendant, whether that's the city jail or the county jail system in Santa Ana, Orange, and Irvine after transfer. Release from a municipal booking area is usually faster; the county facilities run a processing queue that can take several hours, longer on weekends and holidays.

6

Payment Plan Begins

The remaining premium is paid on the written schedule agreed up front. No surprise fees, and we remind you of every court date so the bond stays in good standing.

Bail amounts for Yorba Linda arrests come from the Orange County 2026 Uniform Bail Schedule (effective January 1, 2026), the same county-wide schedule used for every other city in Orange County.

Orange County Release Categories
Penal Code §1270.1 prohibits release on any amount other than the scheduled figure, before a hearing in open court, for violent felonies, serious felonies, and a specified list including PC §243(e)(1), §273.5, §273.6, felony §422, and §646.9. At and after first appearance the court may set bail above or below the schedule under PC §1269b(b) and §1275, and must consider ability to pay under In re Humphrey (2021) 11 Cal.5th 135. What Bail Bonds Cost In Yorba Linda

The premium is fixed by California law. The down payment is where we can help.

The Premium Is 10% — By Law

Bail premium rates in California are filed with and approved by the Department of Insurance under Cal. Ins. Code §1800. A bondsman quoting a Yorba Linda family less than the filed 10% premium as the total cost is quoting something they can't legally deliver.

The Premium Is Earned, Not Refundable

Once the bond is posted the premium is earned in full — whether the case is dismissed at arraignment or runs two years. That's the price of the surety, not a deposit held against the bail.

The Down Payment Is What's Negotiable

Down payments start as low as 1% of the bail on approved credit. The remainder of the 10% premium is financed on a written plan with fixed installments you agree to before signing.

Collateral Isn't Usually Required

Most Yorba Linda bonds under $100,000 are written on a qualified cosigner's signature. Larger bonds may call for collateral depending on the charge and the cosigner's file.

Bail Amount10% PremiumDown At 1%
$20,000$2,000$200
$50,000$5,000$500
$100,000$10,000$1,000

The 1% figure is a down payment on approved credit, not a discounted premium — the full 10% is still owed on the payment plan. For the full 1% through 10% tier comparison and who qualifies for each, see affordable bail bonds.

What We Need When You Call

Have these ready and we can locate the booking — city jail or county — and quote the premium on the first call.

01

Defendant's Full Legal Name

First, middle, and last as it appears on their ID. Nicknames slow the jail search.

02

Date of Birth

Prevents confusion when multiple people share the same name in the booking system.

03

City or County of Arrest

Tells us which jail to check first — Riverside, San Bernardino, LA, Orange, or San Diego.

04

Booking Number (If Available)

Not required, but if you have it, it speeds up locating the record considerably.

05

Cosigner Contact Info

Cosigner's name, phone, employer, and general credit range — this is what determines your financing terms.

06

Your Relationship to the Defendant

Family, friend, or coworker — helps us know who to loop in on updates and paperwork.

Most Common Bail Charges In Yorba Linda

Bail is set by the Superior Court of California, County of Orange schedule, not by the city — so a Yorba Linda booking starts from the same figures as one anywhere else in the county. The ranges below are county schedule ranges, not city-specific numbers.

DUI

VC §23152

County schedule range: $5,000 – $100,000

A first misdemeanor DUI sits at the low end of the schedule and can sometimes release on citation. Priors, injury, or a high BAC push the amount up fast.

View Page

Domestic Violence

PC §273.5

County schedule range: $50,000 – $100,000

Corporal injury filings book high and usually come with a protective order at arraignment. Release conditions matter as much as the bond — we walk cosigners through both before anything is signed.

View Page

Drug Possession & Sale

HS §11350, HS §11351 / §11352

County schedule range: $10,000 – $100,000+

Simple possession books low and often qualifies for diversion. Possession for sale and transportation book far higher, and weight or priors move the number quickly.

View Page

Assault & Battery

PC §240 / §245(a)(1)

County schedule range: $25,000 – $50,000

Simple battery books at the low end. Assault with a deadly weapon is a strike-eligible felony and books substantially higher, often with additional enhancements filed.

View Page

Theft & Burglary

PC §484/§487 and PC §459

County schedule range: $20,000 – $50,000

Petty theft books low; grand theft and first-degree residential burglary book substantially higher and carry felony jail or prison exposure. Burglary has its own dedicated page on this site.

About Yorba Linda

Yorba Linda occupies the northeast corner of Orange County along the Santa Ana River, bordered by Anaheim, Placentia, Brea, and the Chino Hills line in San Bernardino County. Imperial Highway, Yorba Linda Boulevard, and the 91 freeway just to the south carry the traffic. It is a low-density, heavily residential city best known nationally as the birthplace of Richard Nixon and the site of the Richard Nixon Presidential Library. Arrests skew toward traffic and DUI stops along Imperial Highway and the 91 approaches, and domestic and alcohol-related calls.

The policing arrangement is the thing families get wrong. There is no Yorba Linda Police Department to call. Until January 2013 the Brea Police Department held the contract; since then the Orange County Sheriff's Department has, operating Yorba Linda Police Services from Yorba Linda Boulevard. That means a Yorba Linda booking behaves like any other Sheriff booking in the county — no municipal holding cell, no city records desk, straight into the county system — which is a different path from neighboring Placentia and Anaheim, both of which run their own independent departments. Anaheim's service area listings also name Yorba Linda, which adds to the confusion; the agency that arrests in Yorba Linda is the Sheriff.

Yorba Linda cases are filed in the Superior Court of California, County of Orange, with bail set from the county-wide 2026 Uniform Bail Schedule. Criminal and traffic matters arising in Yorba Linda are designated to the North Justice Center at 1275 N Berkeley Ave in Fullerton, under the Orange County Superior Court Court Designation List effective June 30, 2025. What we confirm immediately on the phone is the facility, the scheduled bail for the actual charge, and whether PC §1270.1 freezes that figure until a judge sees the case.
