24/7 California Bail Bonds — Licensed · Insured · Fast Release

Serving Brea · Open 24 Hours
Brea is a north Orange County city policed by its own independent department at 1 Civic Center Circle — an agency large enough that it once sold police services to a neighboring city under contract. Holds that continue past initial processing move into the Orange County Sheriff's system. 10% premium, 1% down on approved credit.

We don't keep a Brea storefront. The city is worked from our staffed downtown Los Angeles office, with a licensed agent delivering the bond to the Civic Center — or to the county facility, if the transfer already happened.

What a Brea family needs: which agency has the person, what the department at the Civic Center does and does not do, where a continuing hold goes, what a bond costs under California's fixed rate, and every charge we write bonds for.

Licensed agents on every shift, honest answers about where your family member actually is, and financing built for families who didn't plan on an arrest this week.
Brea is not a Sheriff-contract city. The Brea Police Department is a municipal agency at 1 Civic Center Cir, Brea, CA 92821, reachable at (714) 990-7625. It is also one of the few Orange County city departments that has been on the selling side of a police contract: Brea provided contracted police services to the neighboring city of Yorba Linda for decades, an arrangement that ended in January 2013 when Yorba Linda moved its contract to the Orange County Sheriff's Department. That history is still practically useful. A Yorba Linda matter predating January 2013 may sit in Brea Police Department records; anything after it is a Sheriff's record. For a current Brea arrest, the agency is Brea's own department, and a hold that continues moves into the Sheriff's county jail system.
A licensed agent answers the phone at 3 a.m. on a Sunday the same way we answer at 3 p.m. on a Wednesday. Brea bookings do not wait for business hours, and neither do we.
English and Spanish-speaking agents on every shift. Premium, cosigner obligations, and payment terms get explained in the language your family actually speaks.
Most bonds under $100,000 are written on a qualified signature alone — no property, no pink slip. Above that, collateral may be requested depending on the charge and how the cosigner qualifies.
California fixes the premium at 10% of the bail. The down payment is what flexes — as low as 1% on approved credit, with the balance on a written plan.
California License #1846101, with a staffed office at 965 N Vignes St #5, Los Angeles, CA 90012 covering Brea — a real office with real agents, not a national call center routing your case to a stranger.
A Brea arrest begins with the city's own department, then either ends there on a bond or moves into the Orange County Sheriff's system. The bail figure comes from the county-wide schedule either way.
Brea Police Department officers make the arrest and initial processing runs through 1 Civic Center Cir, Brea, CA 92821, (714) 990-7625. Prints, photograph, and record checks have to clear before any bond is accepted. Ask directly whether the person is still at the Civic Center or already moved into the county system.
Bail comes from the 2026 Uniform Bail Schedule of the Superior Court of California, County of Orange, approved by the judges under Penal Code §1269b(c) and effective January 1, 2026. Misdemeanors and infractions are scheduled here, unlike in San Bernardino County, and felony bail is computed per case from the highest single count plus enhancements. Larceny and fraud offenses use the scheduled amount or the loss amount, whichever is higher. Brea borders Los Angeles County, but a Brea city arrest is an Orange County case on the Orange County schedule.
Call (213) 295-7796 with a full legal name and date of birth. We check the Brea city booking and the Orange County system, tell you where they are right now, and read back the exact bail amount and premium before you pay anything.
A short cosigner conversation — employment, residence, and how the balance gets paid. Most approvals take minutes, and most Brea bonds require no collateral.
We post at the facility holding the defendant, whether that's the city jail or the county jail system in Santa Ana, Orange, and Irvine after transfer. Release from a municipal booking area is usually faster; the county facilities run a processing queue that can take several hours, longer on weekends and holidays.
The remaining premium is paid on the written schedule agreed up front. No surprise fees, and we remind you of every court date so the bond stays in good standing.
Bail amounts for Brea arrests come from the Orange County 2026 Uniform Bail Schedule (effective January 1, 2026), the same county-wide schedule used for every other city in Orange County.

The premium is fixed by California law. The down payment is where we can help.
Bail premium rates in California are filed with and approved by the Department of Insurance under Cal. Ins. Code §1800. A bondsman quoting a Brea family less than the filed 10% premium as the total cost is quoting something they can't legally deliver.
Once the bond is posted the premium is earned in full — whether the case is dismissed at arraignment or runs two years. That's the price of the surety, not a deposit held against the bail.
Down payments start as low as 1% of the bail on approved credit. The remainder of the 10% premium is financed on a written plan with fixed installments you agree to before signing.
Most Brea bonds under $100,000 are written on a qualified cosigner's signature. Larger bonds may call for collateral depending on the charge and the cosigner's file.
| Bail Amount | 10% Premium | Down At 1% |
|---|---|---|
| $20,000 | $2,000 | $200 |
| $50,000 | $5,000 | $500 |
| $100,000 | $10,000 | $1,000 |
The 1% figure is a down payment on approved credit, not a discounted premium — the full 10% is still owed on the payment plan. For the full 1% through 10% tier comparison and who qualifies for each, see affordable bail bonds.
The Civic Center holds people at the start of a case. A Brea hold that continues moves into the Orange County Sheriff's system — confirm the building before you drive.

The independent Brea Police Department's headquarters and booking point at the Civic Center. A municipal operation with its own records desk — not a Sheriff's facility, and not long-term housing.

Bail is set by the Superior Court of California, County of Orange schedule, not by the city — so a Brea booking starts from the same figures as one anywhere else in the county. The ranges below are county schedule ranges, not city-specific numbers.
County schedule range: $5,000 – $100,000
A first misdemeanor DUI sits at the low end of the schedule and can sometimes release on citation. Priors, injury, or a high BAC push the amount up fast.
View PageCounty schedule range: $50,000 – $100,000
Corporal injury filings book high and usually come with a protective order at arraignment. Release conditions matter as much as the bond — we walk cosigners through both before anything is signed.
View PageCounty schedule range: $10,000 – $100,000+
Simple possession books low and often qualifies for diversion. Possession for sale and transportation book far higher, and weight or priors move the number quickly.
View PagePC §240 / §245(a)(1)
County schedule range: $25,000 – $50,000
Simple battery books at the low end. Assault with a deadly weapon is a strike-eligible felony and books substantially higher, often with additional enhancements filed.
View PagePC §484/§487 and PC §459
County schedule range: $20,000 – $50,000
Petty theft books low; grand theft and first-degree residential burglary book substantially higher and carry felony jail or prison exposure. Burglary has its own dedicated page on this site.
View PageBrea sits at the top of Orange County against the Los Angeles County line, bordered by Fullerton, Placentia, Yorba Linda, La Habra, and the hills toward Diamond Bar and Rowland Heights. The 57 freeway splits the city, and Imperial Highway, Brea Boulevard, and State College Boulevard carry the local traffic. Brea Mall, the Brea Downtown district, and the city's oil-field history define it. Arrests skew toward retail-theft matters at the mall and surrounding centers, DUI and traffic stops on the 57 and Imperial, and downtown nightlife calls.
Policing is municipal and has been for a long time — long enough that Brea's department served as the contracted police agency for Yorba Linda until that city switched to the Orange County Sheriff's Department in January 2013. Today Brea polices only Brea, and its neighbors run the full range of arrangements: Fullerton and Placentia are independent departments, Yorba Linda is Sheriff-contracted, and La Habra is independent and sitting on the LA County line.
Brea is one of only two Orange County cities on this list that touch the Los Angeles County line, and that matters for a practical reason: a stop that begins on Imperial Highway can end in either county's system depending on which side of the line it happened. Once it is a Brea case, it is filed in the Superior Court of California, County of Orange, with bail set from the county-wide 2026 Uniform Bail Schedule and heard at the North Justice Center at 1275 N Berkeley Avenue in Fullerton, about ten minutes southwest, under the Court Designation List effective June 30, 2025. If the arrest turns out to have been on the LA County side, the schedule, the jail, and the courthouse all change — and we cover that side too.
