Stanton is policed by the Orange County Sheriff's Department out of 11100 Cedar Street — but unlike most contract cities, Stanton once had a police department of its own. The city disbanded it in a 1987 budget decision and the agency merged into the Sheriff's Department in February 1988. 10% premium, 1% down on approved credit.

We don't keep a Stanton storefront. The city is worked from our staffed downtown Los Angeles office, with a licensed agent delivering the bond to whichever Sheriff's facility is actually holding the person — the Cedar Street station does not do long-term custody.

Licensed agents on every shift, honest answers about where your family member actually is, and financing built for families who didn't plan on an arrest this week.
Most Orange County contract cities never had a municipal police force. Stanton is different, and the difference is real history, not marketing. Facing declining city revenue, the Stanton City Council voted in November 1987 to disband the Stanton Police Department and contract law enforcement from the Orange County Sheriff's Department; the Sheriff's own account puts the merger of the city department into the Sheriff's Department in February 1988. Today Stanton Police Services operates from 11100 Cedar St, Stanton, CA 90680, (714) 889-7866, led by a Sheriff's captain serving as Chief of Police Services. Why it matters at 2 a.m.: any Stanton matter from before 1988 belongs to a department that no longer exists, and everything since is a Sheriff's Department record. The Cedar Street station is patrol and community services, not a jail.
A licensed agent answers the phone at 3 a.m. on a Sunday the same way we answer at 3 p.m. on a Wednesday. Stanton bookings do not wait for business hours, and neither do we.
English and Spanish-speaking agents on every shift. Premium, cosigner obligations, and payment terms get explained in the language your family actually speaks.
Most bonds under $100,000 are written on a qualified signature alone — no property, no pink slip. Above that, collateral may be requested depending on the charge and how the cosigner qualifies.
California fixes the premium at 10% of the bail. The down payment is what flexes — as low as 1% on approved credit, with the balance on a written plan.
California License #1846101, with a staffed office at 965 N Vignes St #5, Los Angeles, CA 90012 covering Stanton — a real office with real agents, not a national call center routing your case to a stranger.
A Stanton arrest is a Sheriff's arrest. Deputies book into the county system directly — there is no city jail and no municipal records desk, and there has not been one since 1988.
Stanton Police Services deputies make the arrest. The station at 11100 Cedar St, Stanton, CA 90680, (714) 889-7866 handles patrol, investigations, and community services. Booking runs into the Orange County Sheriff's jail system, most commonly through the Intake Release Center at 550 N Flower Street in Santa Ana. Call before driving to Cedar Street; the person is very likely not there.
Bail comes from the 2026 Uniform Bail Schedule of the Superior Court of California, County of Orange, approved by the judges under Penal Code §1269b(c) and effective January 1, 2026. Misdemeanors and infractions are scheduled here, unlike in San Bernardino County, and felony bail is computed per case from the highest single count plus enhancements. Larceny and fraud offenses use the scheduled amount or the loss amount, whichever is higher.
Call (213) 295-7796 with a full legal name and date of birth. We check the Stanton city booking and the Orange County system, tell you where they are right now, and read back the exact bail amount and premium before you pay anything.
A short cosigner conversation — employment, residence, and how the balance gets paid. Most approvals take minutes, and most Stanton bonds require no collateral.
We post at the facility holding the defendant, whether that's the city jail or the county jail system in Santa Ana, Orange, and Irvine after transfer. Release from a municipal booking area is usually faster; the county facilities run a processing queue that can take several hours, longer on weekends and holidays.
The remaining premium is paid on the written schedule agreed up front. No surprise fees, and we remind you of every court date so the bond stays in good standing.
Bail amounts for Stanton arrests come from the Orange County 2026 Uniform Bail Schedule (effective January 1, 2026), the same county-wide schedule used for every other city in Orange County.

The premium is fixed by California law. The down payment is where we can help.
Bail premium rates in California are filed with and approved by the Department of Insurance under Cal. Ins. Code §1800. A bondsman quoting a Stanton family less than the filed 10% premium as the total cost is quoting something they can't legally deliver.
Once the bond is posted the premium is earned in full — whether the case is dismissed at arraignment or runs two years. That's the price of the surety, not a deposit held against the bail.
Down payments start as low as 1% of the bail on approved credit. The remainder of the 10% premium is financed on a written plan with fixed installments you agree to before signing.
Most Stanton bonds under $100,000 are written on a qualified cosigner's signature. Larger bonds may call for collateral depending on the charge and the cosigner's file.
| Bail Amount | 10% Premium | Down At 1% |
|---|---|---|
| $20,000 | $2,000 | $200 |
| $50,000 | $5,000 | $500 |
| $100,000 | $10,000 | $1,000 |
The 1% figure is a down payment on approved credit, not a discounted premium — the full 10% is still owed on the payment plan. For the full 1% through 10% tier comparison and who qualifies for each, see affordable bail bonds.
There is no Stanton city jail — the city gave up its own department in 1988. A booking here lands in the Orange County Sheriff's jail system.

Bail is set by the Superior Court of California, County of Orange schedule, not by the city — so a Stanton booking starts from the same figures as one anywhere else in the county. The ranges below are county schedule ranges, not city-specific numbers.
County schedule range: $5,000 – $100,000
A first misdemeanor DUI sits at the low end of the schedule and can sometimes release on citation. Priors, injury, or a high BAC push the amount up fast.
View PageCounty schedule range: $50,000 – $100,000
Corporal injury filings book high and usually come with a protective order at arraignment. Release conditions matter as much as the bond — we walk cosigners through both before anything is signed.
View PageCounty schedule range: $10,000 – $100,000+
Simple possession books low and often qualifies for diversion. Possession for sale and transportation book far higher, and weight or priors move the number quickly.
View PagePC §240 / §245(a)(1)
County schedule range: $25,000 – $50,000
Simple battery books at the low end. Assault with a deadly weapon is a strike-eligible felony and books substantially higher, often with additional enhancements filed.
View PagePC §484/§487 and PC §459
County schedule range: $20,000 – $50,000
Petty theft books low; grand theft and first-degree residential burglary book substantially higher and carry felony jail or prison exposure. Burglary has its own dedicated page on this site.
View PageStanton is a small, dense city in northwest Orange County, bordered on nearly every side by Anaheim, Garden Grove, Westminster, Cypress, and Buena Park. Beach Boulevard runs through the middle of it and carries most of the enforcement activity, along with Katella Avenue and Cerritos Avenue. It is a working-class city with a heavy motel and commercial corridor along Beach, and the arrest pattern reflects that: traffic and DUI stops, narcotics and public-order matters along the corridor, and domestic calls.
The policing story here is genuinely different from the county's other contract cities. Stanton had its own police department and chose to end it for budget reasons in the late 1980s — a decision later cities considered when weighing their own contracts. Neighboring Cypress, Garden Grove, and Westminster all kept their independent departments, so the agency handling an arrest can change block to block in this part of the county. That is the single most common reason families waste a night on the phone here.
Stanton cases are filed in the Superior Court of California, County of Orange, with bail set from the county-wide 2026 Uniform Bail Schedule. Criminal and traffic matters arising in Stanton are designated to the West Justice Center at 8141 13th Street in Westminster, under the Orange County Superior Court Court Designation List effective June 30, 2025. What we confirm immediately on the phone is the facility, the scheduled bail for the actual charge, and whether PC §1270.1 freezes that figure until a judge sees the case.
