Riverside County is geographically the fourth-largest county in California, and its custody system is spread out to match. A booking in Corona and a booking in Blythe are more than three hours apart by road, and the five county detention centers each feed a different set of courtrooms. The first question we answer on every Riverside call is simple: which facility is holding them right now, because that single fact determines how fast the release happens and where the first appearance will be.
Bail here is normally set at booking straight from the Riverside County Superior Court's Felony and Misdemeanor Bail Schedule, not by the arresting deputy. That means the paperwork can usually begin before arraignment and the bond can post the same day, unless the charge requires a bail hearing or another agency has placed a hold on the booking.
Midnight Bail Bonds is licensed in California and keeps offices on Market Street in Riverside, so we are on the ground in the western county and work the Coachella Valley and southwest corridor daily. Call (951) 692-7388 with a name and date of birth and we'll locate the booking and quote the exact premium before you commit to anything.

Riverside County changed how release works in 2025. The Superior Court of California, County of Riverside adopted a new Felony and Misdemeanor Bail Schedule with an effective date of October 20, 2025. It is not just a different dollar amount than Los Angeles County's schedule — it sorts offenses into categories that change whether a bail bond is involved at all.
We say this the same way we say there is no "$0 down" and that 10% is not a discount: some arrests in Riverside County genuinely do not require a bail bond anymore. If yours is one of them, we will tell you and you will not pay us anything. Families should not buy something they do not need because an agency stayed quiet about a reform.
When bail is set or reviewed, a judicial officer weighs the factors listed in Penal Code §1275(a) and the California Constitution, Article 1, §§12 and 28(b)(3): the safety of the victim, the safety of the victim's family, the seriousness of the charged offense, the person's previous criminal record, and the likelihood that the person will appear in court — with public safety as the primary consideration.

The questions families in this county ask us most.
It follows the arrest location: Robert Presley in downtown Riverside for the western county, John J. Benoit in Indio for the Coachella Valley, Cois M. Byrd in Murrieta for the southwest, Larry D. Smith in Banning for the pass area, and Blythe Jail out east. Give us a name and date of birth and we will confirm the facility before anyone drives anywhere — the wrong guess can cost you two hours on the 10 or the 215.
The Superior Court of California, County of Riverside publishes a combined Felony and Misdemeanor Bail Schedule, effective October 20, 2025, on its Fee and Bail Schedules page. That schedule also marks which charges are Cite and Release or Book and Release — categories where the Sheriff's Office can release a person on a signed promise to appear with no bail posted at all — and identifies a Pre-Arraignment Review track whose implementation date the court still lists as to be determined. For every other offense, booking staff set bail from the schedule, which is why we can often start paperwork the same night as the arrest.
Usually two to eight hours after the bond is posted, depending on the facility and how busy intake is. Presley and Benoit run longest on weekend nights; the smaller facilities in Banning and Blythe often move faster but have fewer staff on graveyard shifts.
Yes. We post at the John J. Benoit Detention Center around the clock, including weekends and holidays, and the same is true at every other Riverside County facility.
10% of the bail amount. That rate is set by California law and is identical at every licensed agency in the state — anyone quoting less than the filed rate without an approved discount is not doing you a favor. Qualifying clients start with as little as 1% down and finance the balance.
Usually not. Most bail under $100,000 is written on a qualified cosigner's signature alone, with no property pledged. Larger bonds and certain charge types may require collateral, and we will tell you that up front rather than after you have signed.
It tracks the arrest location: the Riverside Hall of Justice for the western county, the Larson Justice Center in Indio for the Coachella Valley, the Southwest Justice Center in Murrieta for Temecula and Lake Elsinore, the Banning Justice Center for the pass, and the Blythe Courthouse out east.
