La Quinta
Bail Bonds

La Quinta has no police department of its own. It contracts with the Riverside County Sheriff, and the station that answers is the same one that covers Coachella — the Thermal Station on Airport Boulevard. Custody lands at the county jail in Indio. We post there 24 hours a day. 10% premium, 1% down on approved credit.

Midnight Bail Bonds Riverside

3959 Market St Ste C, Riverside, CA 92501

Open 24 hours, 7 days a week

We don't keep a La Quinta branch. The valley is worked from our staffed Riverside office on Market Street, but nobody from La Quinta should be driving to Riverside — the facility that matters is twenty minutes away in Indio.

Why Choose Midnight In La Quinta

Licensed agents on every shift, honest answers about where your family member actually is, and financing built for families who didn't plan on an arrest this week.

01

Same Station As Coachella — And That's Worth Knowing

The Riverside County Sheriff's Thermal Station at 86625 Airport Blvd, Thermal, CA 92274, (760) 863-8990 polices La Quinta and Coachella both. We flag shared stations everywhere in this build — Jurupa Valley with Eastvale and Norco, Lake Elsinore with Wildomar and Canyon Lake — because the pattern matters. One desk, two cities, and a caller who assumes the station exists only for their town will misread every delay as indifference. It usually isn't.

02

24/7 Availability

A licensed agent answers the phone at 3 a.m. on a Sunday the same way we answer at 3 p.m. on a Wednesday. La Quinta bookings do not wait for business hours, and neither do we.

03

Bilingual Agents

English and Spanish-speaking agents on every shift. Premium, cosigner obligations, and payment terms get explained in the language your family actually speaks.

04

No Collateral In Most Cases

Most bonds under $100,000 are written on a qualified signature alone — no property, no pink slip. Above that, collateral may be requested depending on the charge and how the cosigner qualifies.

05

Affordable Payment Plans

California fixes the premium at 10% of the bail. The down payment is what flexes — as low as 1% on approved credit, with the balance on a written plan.

06

Licensed & Accountable

California License #1846101, with a staffed office at 3959 Market St Ste C, Riverside, CA 92501 covering La Quinta — a real office with real agents, not a national call center routing your case to a stranger.

How Bail Bonds Work In La Quinta

A La Quinta arrest is a Sheriff's case end to end: processed through the Thermal Station, priced by the county's October 2025 bail schedule, bonded wherever the defendant is actually held.

1

Arrest & Processing Through The Thermal Station

La Quinta contracts police services to the Riverside County Sheriff's Office, worked out of the Thermal Station at 86625 Airport Blvd, Thermal, CA 92274, (760) 863-8990 — shared with Coachella. Prints, photo, and record checks have to clear before a bond can post, and the station handles processing rather than long-term custody.

2

Charge Checked Against The 2025 County Schedule

Bail is set from the Riverside County Felony and Misdemeanor Bail Schedule effective October 20, 2025. Alongside the dollar amounts it sorts offenses into Cite and Release, Book and Release, Pre-Arraignment Review, and standard bail — two of which mean no bond is posted at all.

3

Call Midnight — We Confirm Where They Are

Call (951) 692-7388 with a full legal name and date of birth. We check the La Quinta city booking and the Riverside County system, tell you where they are right now, and read back the exact bail amount and premium before you pay anything.

4

Qualification & Approval

A short cosigner conversation — employment, residence, and how the balance gets paid. Most approvals take minutes, and most La Quinta bonds require no collateral.

5

Bond Posted Where They Actually Are

We post at the facility holding the defendant, whether that's the city jail or the county detention centers after transfer. Release from a municipal booking area is usually faster; the county facilities run a processing queue that can take several hours, longer on weekends and holidays.

6

Payment Plan Begins

The remaining premium is paid on the written schedule agreed up front. No surprise fees, and we remind you of every court date so the bond stays in good standing.

Bail amounts for La Quinta arrests come from the Riverside County Felony and Misdemeanor Bail Schedule (effective October 20, 2025), the same county-wide schedule used for every other city in Riverside County.

Riverside County Release Categories
Because La Quinta books straight into the Sheriff's system, the 2025 release categories apply immediately. A charge marked Cite and Release or Book and Release can end in release on a signed promise to appear with no bail posted, and Pre-Arraignment Review is a separate track the court still lists as pending implementation. What Bail Bonds Cost In La Quinta

The premium is fixed by California law. The down payment is where we can help.

The Premium Is 10% — By Law

Bail premium rates in California are filed with and approved by the Department of Insurance under Cal. Ins. Code §1800. A bondsman quoting a La Quinta family less than the filed 10% premium as the total cost is quoting something they can't legally deliver.

The Premium Is Earned, Not Refundable

Once the bond is posted the premium is earned in full — whether the case is dismissed at arraignment or runs two years. That's the price of the surety, not a deposit held against the bail.

The Down Payment Is What's Negotiable

Down payments start as low as 1% of the bail on approved credit. The remainder of the 10% premium is financed on a written plan with fixed installments you agree to before signing.

Collateral Isn't Usually Required

Most La Quinta bonds under $100,000 are written on a qualified cosigner's signature. Larger bonds may call for collateral depending on the charge and the cosigner's file.

Bail Amount10% PremiumDown At 1%
$20,000$2,000$200
$50,000$5,000$500
$100,000$10,000$1,000

The 1% figure is a down payment on approved credit, not a discounted premium — the full 10% is still owed on the payment plan. For the full 1% through 10% tier comparison and who qualifies for each, see affordable bail bonds.

La Quinta Jails We Serve

There is no jail in La Quinta and no plan for one. Custody in the Coachella Valley is a Sheriff's detention function, which in practice means Indio.

Riverside County Sheriff's Thermal Station

86625 Airport Blvd, Thermal, CA 92274

(760) 863-8990

The contract station covering La Quinta and Coachella. It is located in Thermal, not in La Quinta, and it holds people only long enough to process them — a continuing hold moves to a county detention center.

Where La Quinta Arrestees Transfer

John J. Benoit Detention Center

82675 Highway 111, Indio, CA 92201

(760) 863-8200

The Sheriff's Coachella Valley detention center, roughly fifteen to twenty minutes north of La Quinta. The expected destination for a hold that continues past processing.

Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility

1627 S Hargrave St, Banning, CA 92220

(951) 922-7300

The Sheriff's Pass-area facility roughly an hour northwest. Not typical for a La Quinta booking, but medical or classification needs occasionally move someone out of the valley.

What We Need When You Call

Have these ready and we can locate the booking — city jail or county — and quote the premium on the first call.

01

Defendant's Full Legal Name

First, middle, and last as it appears on their ID. Nicknames slow the jail search.

02

Date of Birth

Prevents confusion when multiple people share the same name in the booking system.

03

City or County of Arrest

Tells us which jail to check first — Riverside, San Bernardino, LA, Orange, or San Diego.

04

Booking Number (If Available)

Not required, but if you have it, it speeds up locating the record considerably.

05

Cosigner Contact Info

Cosigner's name, phone, employer, and general credit range — this is what determines your financing terms.

06

Your Relationship to the Defendant

Family, friend, or coworker — helps us know who to loop in on updates and paperwork.

Most Common Bail Charges In La Quinta

Bail is set by the Riverside County Superior Court schedule, not by the city — so a La Quinta booking starts from the same figures as one anywhere else in the county. The ranges below are county schedule ranges, not city-specific numbers.

DUI

VC §23152

County schedule range: $5,000 – $100,000

A first misdemeanor DUI sits at the low end of the schedule and can sometimes release on citation. Priors, injury, or a high BAC push the amount up fast.

View Page

Domestic Violence

PC §273.5

County schedule range: $50,000 – $100,000

Corporal injury filings book high and usually come with a protective order at arraignment. Release conditions matter as much as the bond — we walk cosigners through both before anything is signed.

View Page

Drug Possession & Sale

HS §11350, HS §11351 / §11352

County schedule range: $10,000 – $100,000+

Simple possession books low and often qualifies for diversion. Possession for sale and transportation book far higher, and weight or priors move the number quickly.

View Page

Assault & Battery

PC §240 / §245(a)(1)

County schedule range: $25,000 – $50,000

Simple battery books at the low end. Assault with a deadly weapon is a strike-eligible felony and books substantially higher, often with additional enhancements filed.

View Page

Theft & Burglary

PC §484/§487 and PC §459

County schedule range: $20,000 – $50,000

Petty theft books low; grand theft and first-degree residential burglary book substantially higher and carry felony jail or prison exposure. Burglary has its own dedicated page on this site.

About La Quinta

La Quinta is a resort and residential city of roughly 38,000 on the south side of the Coachella Valley, best known for its golf courses, the Cove neighborhood tucked against the Santa Rosa Mountains, and a seasonal population that grows sharply in winter. It incorporated in 1982 and never built a municipal police force.

Policing comes from the Riverside County Sheriff's Office through the Thermal Station, the same station that serves Coachella. That is a real operational fact rather than a technicality: the deputies working a La Quinta call and the deputies working a Coachella call report to the same building on Airport Boulevard. If you're calling around for someone and you get a Thermal number, you have not been misdirected.

La Quinta cases are filed in the Riverside County Superior Court system with bail set from the county-wide schedule. We won't name a courthouse or department for a specific case — assignments depend on the filing, and the court's own information beats a guess from us every time. What we will tell you on the first call is whether the charge falls into one of the 2025 no-bail release categories.
