Serving Coachella · Open 24 Hours
Coachella has no police department of its own. Policing runs on a Sheriff's contract out of the Thermal Station on Airport Boulevard — the same station that covers La Quinta. Custody goes to the county jail a few minutes up the road in Indio. We post there 24 hours a day. 10% premium, 1% down on approved credit.

We don't keep a Coachella branch. The east valley is covered from our staffed Riverside office on Market Street — but the practical destination for a Coachella family is the Benoit Detention Center in Indio, not a bail office an hour and a half west.

Licensed agents on every shift, honest answers about where your family member actually is, and financing built for families who didn't plan on an arrest this week.
Coachella contracts police services to the Riverside County Sheriff's Office, worked out of the Thermal Station at 86625 Airport Blvd, Thermal, CA 92274, (760) 863-8990. Two things families get wrong about that: the station is in Thermal, not in Coachella, and it serves La Quinta as well. Neither fact changes the bond, but both change where you call and how quickly the front desk can tell you anything.
A licensed agent answers the phone at 3 a.m. on a Sunday the same way we answer at 3 p.m. on a Wednesday. Coachella bookings do not wait for business hours, and neither do we.
English and Spanish-speaking agents on every shift. Premium, cosigner obligations, and payment terms get explained in the language your family actually speaks.
Most bonds under $100,000 are written on a qualified signature alone — no property, no pink slip. Above that, collateral may be requested depending on the charge and how the cosigner qualifies.
California fixes the premium at 10% of the bail. The down payment is what flexes — as low as 1% on approved credit, with the balance on a written plan.
California License #1846101, with a staffed office at 3959 Market St Ste C, Riverside, CA 92501 covering Coachella — a real office with real agents, not a national call center routing your case to a stranger.
A Coachella arrest is a Sheriff's case from the first minute: processed through the Thermal Station, measured against the county's October 2025 bail schedule, bonded at whichever facility holds the defendant.
The Riverside County Sheriff's Thermal Station at 86625 Airport Blvd, Thermal, CA 92274, (760) 863-8990 handles arrests in Coachella under the city's contract with the county, and also serves La Quinta. Prints, photo, and record checks have to clear before a bond can post. The station has processing capacity, not long-term custody.
Bail comes from the Riverside County Felony and Misdemeanor Bail Schedule effective October 20, 2025, which sorts offenses into Cite and Release, Book and Release, Pre-Arraignment Review, and standard bail alongside the dollar amounts.
Call (951) 692-7388 with a full legal name and date of birth. We check the Coachella city booking and the Riverside County system, tell you where they are right now, and read back the exact bail amount and premium before you pay anything.
A short cosigner conversation — employment, residence, and how the balance gets paid. Most approvals take minutes, and most Coachella bonds require no collateral.
We post at the facility holding the defendant, whether that's the city jail or the county detention centers after transfer. Release from a municipal booking area is usually faster; the county facilities run a processing queue that can take several hours, longer on weekends and holidays.
The remaining premium is paid on the written schedule agreed up front. No surprise fees, and we remind you of every court date so the bond stays in good standing.
Bail amounts for Coachella arrests come from the Riverside County Felony and Misdemeanor Bail Schedule (effective October 20, 2025), the same county-wide schedule used for every other city in Riverside County.

The premium is fixed by California law. The down payment is where we can help.
Bail premium rates in California are filed with and approved by the Department of Insurance under Cal. Ins. Code §1800. A bondsman quoting a Coachella family less than the filed 10% premium as the total cost is quoting something they can't legally deliver.
Once the bond is posted the premium is earned in full — whether the case is dismissed at arraignment or runs two years. That's the price of the surety, not a deposit held against the bail.
Down payments start as low as 1% of the bail on approved credit. The remainder of the 10% premium is financed on a written plan with fixed installments you agree to before signing.
Most Coachella bonds under $100,000 are written on a qualified cosigner's signature. Larger bonds may call for collateral depending on the charge and the cosigner's file.
| Bail Amount | 10% Premium | Down At 1% |
|---|---|---|
| $20,000 | $2,000 | $200 |
| $50,000 | $5,000 | $500 |
| $100,000 | $10,000 | $1,000 |
The 1% figure is a down payment on approved credit, not a discounted premium — the full 10% is still owed on the payment plan. For the full 1% through 10% tier comparison and who qualifies for each, see affordable bail bonds.
Coachella's saving grace is distance: the county's valley jail is in Indio, minutes north, rather than ninety minutes west in Riverside.
86625 Airport Blvd, Thermal, CA 92274
(760) 863-8990
The contract station that polices Coachella — physically located in Thermal, and shared with La Quinta. Processing and temporary holding only; a continuing hold moves to a county detention center.
Where Coachella Arrestees Transfer
82675 Highway 111, Indio, CA 92201
(760) 863-8200
The Sheriff's Coachella Valley detention center in Indio, roughly ten to fifteen minutes from Coachella. The expected destination for a hold that continues past processing.
1627 S Hargrave St, Banning, CA 92220
(951) 922-7300
The Sheriff's Pass-area facility about an hour northwest. Unusual for an east-valley booking, but classification or population can still send someone out of the valley.
Have these ready and we can locate the booking — city jail or county — and quote the premium on the first call.
First, middle, and last as it appears on their ID. Nicknames slow the jail search.
Prevents confusion when multiple people share the same name in the booking system.

Not required, but if you have it, it speeds up locating the record considerably.
Cosigner's name, phone, employer, and general credit range — this is what determines your financing terms.
Family, friend, or coworker — helps us know who to loop in on updates and paperwork.
Bail is set by the Riverside County Superior Court schedule, not by the city — so a Coachella booking starts from the same figures as one anywhere else in the county. The ranges below are county schedule ranges, not city-specific numbers.
County schedule range: $5,000 – $100,000
A first misdemeanor DUI sits at the low end of the schedule and can sometimes release on citation. Priors, injury, or a high BAC push the amount up fast.
View PageCounty schedule range: $50,000 – $100,000
Corporal injury filings book high and usually come with a protective order at arraignment. Release conditions matter as much as the bond — we walk cosigners through both before anything is signed.
View PageCounty schedule range: $10,000 – $100,000+
Simple possession books low and often qualifies for diversion. Possession for sale and transportation book far higher, and weight or priors move the number quickly.
View PagePC §240 / §245(a)(1)
County schedule range: $25,000 – $50,000
Simple battery books at the low end. Assault with a deadly weapon is a strike-eligible felony and books substantially higher, often with additional enhancements filed.
View PagePC §484/§487 and PC §459
County schedule range: $20,000 – $50,000
Petty theft books low; grand theft and first-degree residential burglary book substantially higher and carry felony jail or prison exposure. Burglary has its own dedicated page on this site.
View PageCoachella is a city of roughly 42,000 at the east end of the valley that bears its name, an agricultural community whose workforce swells during harvest. It sits past Indio on the 111, close to Thermal and the farmland running down toward the Salton Sea.
Coachella has no municipal police force. Police services come from the Riverside County Sheriff's Office through the Thermal Station on Airport Boulevard, which also covers La Quinta. We say that plainly for the same reason we say it about shared stations everywhere else in this build: when one station covers two cities, the person answering the phone is handling both, and a family assuming exclusive attention will be frustrated.
Coachella cases are filed in the Riverside County Superior Court system with bail set from the county-wide schedule. We won't name a courthouse or department for a specific case — that depends on the filing and current court assignments, and the court's own information is the right source rather than a guess from us. What we can answer in the first minute is whether the charge falls into one of the 2025 no-bail release categories.
