Why Choose Midnight In San Dimas

Licensed agents on every shift, honest answers about where your family member actually is, and financing built for families who didn't plan on an arrest this week.

01

A Sheriff's Station, Not A City Jail

San Dimas contracts law enforcement to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. There is no San Dimas PD and no standalone city jail. The station on South Walnut Avenue is where an arrest starts, but custody continues in county facilities — and that's usually where the bond gets posted.

02

24/7 Availability

A licensed agent answers the phone at 3 a.m. on a Sunday the same way we answer at 3 p.m. on a Wednesday. San Dimas bookings do not wait for business hours, and neither do we.

03

Bilingual Agents

English and Spanish-speaking agents on every shift. Premium, cosigner obligations, and payment terms get explained in the language your family actually speaks.

04

No Collateral In Most Cases

Most bonds under $100,000 are written on a qualified signature alone — no property, no pink slip. Above that, collateral may be requested depending on the charge and how the cosigner qualifies.

05

Affordable Payment Plans

California fixes the premium at 10% of the bail. The down payment is what flexes — as low as 1% on approved credit, with the balance on a written plan.

06

Licensed & Accountable

California License #1846101, with a staffed office at 965 N Vignes St #5, Los Angeles, CA 90012 covering San Dimas — a real office with real agents, not a national call center routing your case to a stranger.

How Bail Bonds Work In San Dimas

San Dimas follows the standard Los Angeles County sequence for a contract city: Sheriff's deputies make the arrest, bail comes from the county-wide schedule, and the bond posts wherever the defendant is actually held.

1

Arrest & Processing At The Sheriff's Station

San Dimas arrests are handled through the Sheriff's station at 270 S Walnut Ave. Fingerprints, photo, and record checks have to clear before a bond can post, and custody frequently continues into a county facility rather than staying at the station.

2

Bail Set From The County Schedule

Bail comes from the Los Angeles County Superior Court felony and misdemeanor bail schedule, the same figures used county-wide. We confirm the charge and read back the exact premium before anything is signed.

3

Call Midnight — We Confirm Where They Are

Call (213) 295-7796 with a full legal name and date of birth. We check the San Dimas city booking and the LA County system, tell you where they are right now, and read back the exact bail amount and premium before you pay anything.

4

Qualification & Approval

A short cosigner conversation — employment, residence, and how the balance gets paid. Most approvals take minutes, and most San Dimas bonds require no collateral.

5

Bond Posted Where They Actually Are

We post at the facility holding the defendant, whether that's the city jail or a downtown county facility after transfer. Release from a municipal jail is usually faster; Twin Towers and the Inmate Reception Center run a processing queue that can take several hours, longer on weekends.

6

Payment Plan Begins

The remaining premium is paid on the written schedule agreed up front. No surprise fees, and we remind you of every court date so the bond stays in good standing.

Bail amounts for San Dimas arrests come from the Los Angeles Superior Court felony and misdemeanor bail schedule, the same county-wide schedule used for every other city in Los Angeles County.

What Bail Bonds Cost In San Dimas

The premium is fixed by California law. The down payment is where we can help.

The Premium Is 10% — By Law

Bail premium rates in California are filed with and approved by the Department of Insurance under Cal. Ins. Code §1800. A bondsman quoting a San Dimas family less than the filed 10% premium as the total cost is quoting something they can't legally deliver.

The Premium Is Earned, Not Refundable

Once the bond is posted the premium is earned in full — whether the case is dismissed at arraignment or runs two years. That's the price of the surety, not a deposit held against the bail.

The Down Payment Is What's Negotiable

Down payments start as low as 1% of the bail on approved credit. The remainder of the 10% premium is financed on a written plan with fixed installments you agree to before signing.

Collateral Isn't Usually Required

Most San Dimas bonds under $100,000 are written on a qualified cosigner's signature. Larger bonds may call for collateral depending on the charge and the cosigner's file.

Bail Amount10% PremiumDown At 1%
$20,000$2,000$200
$50,000$5,000$500
$100,000$10,000$1,000

The 1% figure is a down payment on approved credit, not a discounted premium — the full 10% is still owed on the payment plan. For the full 1% through 10% tier comparison and who qualifies for each, see affordable bail bonds.

San Dimas Jails We Serve

Because San Dimas is a Sheriff's contract city, the station on South Walnut Avenue is the starting point rather than the place a bond usually posts. Expect to track a booking into county custody.

San Dimas Sheriff's Station (LASD)

270 S Walnut Ave, San Dimas, CA 91773

(909) 450-2700

The Sheriff's station serving San Dimas and surrounding unincorporated areas. It is a station, not a standalone city jail — custody continues in the LA County system: Twin Towers or Men's Central for men, Century Regional in Lynwood for women.

Where San Dimas Arrestees Transfer

Twin Towers Correctional Facility

450 Bauchet St, Los Angeles, CA 90012

Downtown county intake plus medical and mental-health housing. The most common destination for anyone held beyond a short municipal stay.

Men's Central Jail

441 Bauchet St, Los Angeles, CA 90012

Adjacent to Twin Towers; houses much of the county's male population after intake processing.

Century Regional Detention Facility

11705 S Alameda St, Lynwood, CA 90262

The county's primary women's facility — where women transferred out of a city jail are housed.

What We Need When You Call

Have these ready and we can locate the booking — city jail or county — and quote the premium on the first call.

01

Defendant's Full Legal Name

First, middle, and last as it appears on their ID. Nicknames slow the jail search.

02

Date of Birth

Prevents confusion when multiple people share the same name in the booking system.

03

City or County of Arrest

Tells us which jail to check first — Riverside, San Bernardino, LA, Orange, or San Diego.

04

Booking Number (If Available)

Not required, but if you have it, it speeds up locating the record considerably.

05

Cosigner Contact Info

Cosigner's name, phone, employer, and general credit range — this is what determines your financing terms.

06

Your Relationship to the Defendant

Family, friend, or coworker — helps us know who to loop in on updates and paperwork.

Most Common Bail Charges In San Dimas

Bail is set by the Los Angeles County Superior Court schedule, not by the city — so a San Dimas booking starts from the same figures as one anywhere else in the county. The ranges below are county schedule ranges, not city-specific numbers.

DUI

VC §23152

County schedule range: $5,000 – $100,000

A first misdemeanor DUI sits at the low end of the schedule and can sometimes release on citation. Priors, injury, or a high BAC push the amount up fast.

View Page

Domestic Violence

PC §273.5

County schedule range: $50,000 – $100,000

Corporal injury filings book high and usually come with a protective order at arraignment. Release conditions matter as much as the bond — we walk cosigners through both before anything is signed.

View Page

Drug Possession & Sale

HS §11350, HS §11351 / §11352

County schedule range: $10,000 – $100,000+

Simple possession books low and often qualifies for diversion. Possession for sale and transportation book far higher, and weight or priors move the number quickly.

View Page

Assault & Battery

PC §240 / §245(a)(1)

County schedule range: $25,000 – $50,000

Simple battery books at the low end. Assault with a deadly weapon is a strike-eligible felony and books substantially higher, often with additional enhancements filed.

View Page

Theft & Burglary

PC §484/§487 and PC §459

County schedule range: $20,000 – $50,000

Petty theft books low; grand theft and first-degree residential burglary book substantially higher and carry felony jail or prison exposure. Burglary has its own dedicated page on this site.

About San Dimas

San Dimas is an eastern San Gabriel Valley city bordered by Glendora to the west, La Verne to the east, Covina and Walnut to the south, and the foothills and San Dimas Canyon to the north. It contracts law enforcement to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department rather than running its own police force.

That's the difference families run into here. Glendora and La Verne both have city police departments and their own booking facilities; San Dimas does not. A San Dimas arrest runs through the Sheriff's station and then into county custody, so the building you'd drive to is not the same one you'd drive to for an arrest a mile away.

The station also serves surrounding unincorporated territory, so a booking there isn't proof the arrest happened inside the city. Give us the name and date of birth and we'll confirm the current location before anyone drives.

San Dimas cases are filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court and bail is set from the county-wide schedule. Courthouse assignment depends on the filing, so rather than name one here we'll confirm what applies to your case and point you to the court's own information.
