Twin Towers Correctional Facility sits at 450 Bauchet Street in the downtown Los Angeles jail complex, a short distance north of Union Station and the Civic Center. It is the facility most families end up calling about, because it is where custody lands once a local arrest stops being local.
Two roles run in parallel here. The first is intake: Twin Towers shares its address with the Inmate Reception Center, the processing point most county bookings pass through before onward housing. The second is medical and mental-health housing, which the county concentrates in this building rather than spreading across the system.
That combination is why the building matters to a bond. A defendant can be physically inside 450 Bauchet Street while still moving between processing and housing status, and the paperwork that produces a release follows the status rather than the street address. Confirming both before posting is the difference between a clean release and a wasted trip.
