The Riverside Hall of Justice sits at 4100 Main Street in the downtown civic center. The Superior Court of California, County of Riverside lists exactly one category of matters served at this location: criminal. That single fact is the most useful thing a family can know about this building. If a loved one has been arrested in the western part of the county, this is where the case is heard.

The Hall of Justice is routinely confused with the Riverside Historic Courthouse one block away at 4050 Main Street. They are different buildings with different calendars. The Riverside Superior Court publishes limited clerk phone hours of 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, at its courthouse locations and warns that wait times on the (951) 777-3147 line can be long. Verify a specific courtroom's calendar time on the notice you were given rather than by phone.
Court hours are not release hours. A jail releases around the clock once a bond is accepted and the facility finishes processing. A defendant whose bond posts at 2:00 a.m. does not wait for the courthouse to open — they simply appear on the date printed on their paperwork.

How To Post Bail At Hall Of Justice
Bail review and reduction motions in California run under Penal Code §1270.1, and the starting figure comes from the Riverside County Felony and Misdemeanor Bail Schedule (effective October 20, 2025).
Bail is never posted at the courthouse. It is posted at the facility holding the defendant. For a case calendared at the Hall of Justice, that is normally the Robert Presley Detention Center at 4000 Orange Street, a short walk from the courthouse, or a city jail such as the Riverside Police Department detention center before the county transfer happens.
The starting figure comes from the county-wide Riverside Felony and Misdemeanor Bail Schedule, not from anything specific to this courthouse. A charge carries the same schedule number whether the arrest happened in Riverside, Corona, or Moreno Valley — what changes is the facility and the timeline.
