The Airport Courthouse stands at 11701 S La Cienega Boulevard, in the Westchester area immediately east of Los Angeles International Airport. Despite the name, it is an ordinary Los Angeles Superior Court location — not an airport facility and not a federal court.
For our clients the most important fact about this building is that it is the courthouse for West Hollywood matters. West Hollywood is a contract city with no police department and no courthouse of its own, so an arrest there is booked by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and the case is heard several miles away on La Cienega.
Beyond West Hollywood, the courthouse serves the LAX and Westchester-area communities around it. Older secondary sources sometimes describe it as the court for Beverly Hills and Culver City as well. We do not repeat that claim here: Beverly Hills matters are listed on this site under the Beverly Hills Courthouse, and Culver City matters under the Santa Monica Courthouse, which took the Culver City calendars after that courthouse closed in 2005. Whatever a directory says, the controlling answer is the courthouse and department printed on the notice.
As at every county courthouse, no one is held here overnight and no bail money is taken at the counter. In-custody defendants are transported in for the appearance and returned afterward; the bond that produces a release goes to the jail holding them.

Court hours and jail release timing are two different clocks. Airport Courthouse runs on a weekday court calendar; the jail holding your family member runs 24 hours a day.
| Courthouse building | Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. |
|---|---|
| Clerk's office | Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. |
| Typical courtroom sessions | 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. |
| Saturday, Sunday & court holidays | Closed |
| Midnight Bail Bonds | Open 24 hours, every day |
Court hours and jail release hours are separate systems. The courthouse keeps weekday business hours; the West Hollywood Sheriff's Station and the county facilities accept bail bonds at any hour.
That gap matters most on a weekend. A Friday night arrest on the Sunset Strip has no court date until Monday at the earliest, but the bond can be posted the same night.
Release timing follows the facility. A release from a Sheriff's station can move in a couple of hours; the Inmate Reception Center downtown commonly runs several hours and longer overnight.
Departments recess midday, so a matter not reached before noon typically waits for the 1:30 p.m. session.

The Airport Courthouse carries local Southwest District calendars for the communities it serves.
Criminal matters routed here — including West Hollywood cases filed by the Sheriff's Department — are calendared for arraignment, pretrial conferences, motions, and resolution. The department number on the notice controls the courtroom.
Traffic citations issued in the area are heard on their own calendars, separate from the criminal departments.
Defendants who have not bailed out are transported in from the station or a county facility and returned afterward. Appearing in court begins no release process by itself.
No bail is accepted at the counter. Downtown in-custody first appearances happen at Central Arraignment Courthouse, and the county's main criminal trial calendars sit at the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center.
Bail review and reduction motions in California run under Penal Code §1270.1, and the starting figure comes from the Los Angeles Superior Court bail schedule.
Bail on a West Hollywood arrest is set at booking under the Los Angeles County bail schedule, before any appearance on La Cienega. That amount is postable immediately at the Sheriff's station.
Arraignment in the assigned department here is the first judicial review of the number. The judge can keep it, raise it, reduce it, or grant own-recognizance release, and either side can move to change bail later under the hearing rules cited above.
Posting before the county transfer is the difference between a station release and a downtown one. Once the transfer runs, men are released from the IRC complex and women from Century Regional in Lynwood.
The bond stays live for every appearance on this courthouse's calendar. Give us a full legal name and date of birth and we locate the booking, confirm the amount, and post at any hour.
A missed appearance at Airport Courthouse can mean a forfeited bond and a bench warrant the same day. There is a statutory window to bring the defendant back before forfeiture becomes a judgment against the cosigner — call us immediately. Failure to appear bail bonds →
Nobody is held at the Airport Courthouse. Custody for the cases heard here sits at a Sheriff's station or a county facility — that is where the bond goes.
